Radhashtami  is a  Hindu  holy day commemorating the birth anniversary of the goddess  Radha , consort of the god  Krishna . It is celebrated mainly by devotees of Krishna, especially with great fervor in her birthplace of  Barsana , on the Shukla  Paksha   Ashtami  of the  Bhadra (Hindu calendar)  month.  Radhastami is a very special day for all the Gaudiya Vaishnavas, as by obtaining the mercy of Srimati Radharani one can easily achieve Krishna-prema. Early Life :  Abhay Charan received a European-style education at the  Scottish Church College  affiliated to the  University of Calcutta , a prestigious university in Bengal.
